These workshops were focused on the student own exploration with different textile techniques. Their main objective was to open a ludic space to freely play and create, understanding the textile language and its different expressions.
Workshops
I always have focused on the process of creating in an intuitive way, discovering the visual elements of textile language and its different expressions. My main objective when teaching is to open a ludic space to freely play and create. From simple exercises, the students explore and experiment with the process of creating textile patterns with different textile techniques.
I started out teaching textile workshops at my studio in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 2011 until 2015 when I moved to the United States. In 2017 I was invited to lead a workshop at the Baltimore Museum of Art, which was an experience that inspired me to go back to teaching. I currently working on new workshops and re-planning some of the old ones.
